How to start selling on Noon

A practical guide for brands starting on Noon in Egypt, Saudi Arabia or the UAE: the documents you need, choosing between Fulfilled by Noon and Fulfilled by Partner, getting products approved, pricing after fees, and launching.

Noon is one of the biggest online marketplaces in the region, with stores in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. For many brands it sits right next to Amazon as a main channel, and its shoppers don’t always overlap with Amazon’s. This guide covers how to get started properly, with Egypt as the example.

Before you register

Pick your first products. As on any marketplace, start with your proven best-sellers: products with healthy margins that are easy to ship. Add the rest once they’re working.

Check whether your products are already on Noon. Search for your brand name. Other sellers may already be listing your products, sometimes with weak pages or prices that undercut your own channels.

Know your numbers. Your cost per unit, target price and ad budget. Noon takes a commission on each sale, plus fees if Noon stores and ships for you.

Step 1: Gather your documents

For a company selling on Noon Egypt, you’ll usually need:

  • Your commercial registration, allowing trading or e-commerce (service-only licences aren’t accepted)
  • A valid tax card, which Noon requires for sellers in Egypt
  • Your VAT registration certificate, if you’re registered for VAT
  • The national ID or passport of the person named on the commercial registration, or a power of attorney if someone else is registering
  • Bank account details: a cancelled cheque, a stamped bank letter or a bank statement
  • A business email, and a phone number with WhatsApp

Two things to know: your company must be registered in Egypt to sell on Noon Egypt, and each set of documents can only be used for one Noon account. Individuals can also sell in Egypt using a data certificate instead of a commercial registration.

Step 2: Register and set up your account

Sign up at sell.noon.com and choose the country you want to sell in. You’ll manage everything from Noon’s seller platform: products, stock, orders, prices, ads and payouts. Enter your company details exactly as they appear on your documents, so verification goes smoothly.

If you plan to sell in Saudi Arabia or the UAE later, note that each country has its own requirements. Saudi Arabia, for example, requires a VAT number for all sellers.

Step 3: Choose how you’ll ship

Noon gives you two main options:

Fulfilled by Noon (FBN) Fulfilled by Partner (FBP)

Who packs and deliversNoonYou, or Noon collects from you, depending on the set-up
Delivery speedUsually faster, with Noon’s fast-delivery badgesDepends on your own operation

Best forFast-moving products and wider reachBulky products, large ranges, or brands with strong delivery of their own

Many brands use both: FBN for their best-sellers, FBP for the rest of the range. Whichever you choose, include the fees in your price.

Step 4: Get your products approved

Noon checks new product pages before they go live, and pages that don’t meet its standards are sent back. To get approved first time:

  • Images: a clean main image on a white background, at the size Noon asks for, with no added text or watermarks
  • Title: brand, product type, key features and size, in the format Noon expects for your category
  • Details: fill in every required field for the category, such as material, colour and dimensions
  • Arabic and English: complete both. Arabic matters a lot on Noon, especially in Egypt and Saudi Arabia
  • Correct category: a product in the wrong category is a common reason for rejection

If your product already exists on Noon, you usually add your offer to the existing page rather than creating a new one.

Step 5: Set your prices

Price after Noon’s commission and fulfillment fees, not before. Compare with similar products on Noon and with your own price on Amazon, your website and in your shops. Shoppers compare prices across sites, and big gaps either lose you the sale or pull your prices down everywhere.

Step 6: Launch

  • Send your first stock to Noon’s warehouse if you’re using FBN, with enough to cover the first few weeks
  • Start Noon ads on your launch products, with a small daily budget you check often
  • Join deals and campaigns. Noon runs regular sale events, and its biggest is Yellow Friday in November. Plan stock and prices for them in advance.
  • Look after your first customers. Fast delivery, accurate pages and quick replies lead to good ratings, which help every product you list after.

Step 7: Build a weekly routine

  • Sales and stock levels, so you reorder before you run out
  • Products waiting for approval or sent back, and fixes for them
  • Ads: what’s selling and what’s wasting money
  • Prices compared with other sellers and your other channels
  • Cancellations, returns and customer ratings

Mistakes we see often

  • Treating Noon as a copy of Amazon. The shoppers, the approval process and the sale calendar are different. Plan for Noon on its own terms.
  • Ignoring rejected products. A product sent back sits invisible until someone fixes it.
  • Weak Arabic. On Noon, many shoppers search and buy in Arabic.
  • Running out of stock in FBN before a big sale. Restocking takes time, so plan well ahead of events like Yellow Friday.
  • Prices out of line with Amazon. Shoppers check both. Keep them consistent.
